PROJECT TEAM BUILDING


COURSE DESCRIPTION:     Project Team Building is a two-day skill-building program designed to strengthen Project Managers's and Team Member's ability to lead, facilitate and act as effective participants of a problem-solving and decision-making team.   The overall goal of this training program is to diagnose the Project Team's goal and interpersonal skills.   Techniques and methods needed to build the Project Team into a cohesive and results orientated unit will be introduced.   An improved productivity plan for the project team will be designed and critiqued during this workshop.



LEARNING OUTCOMES:        As a result of this learning opportunity participants will:
   Briefly review of the Project Management Methodology
   Learn the role of the project team
   Practise utilizing a self style analysis tool
   Understand how to assess your project teams's performance
   Create a 90 day action plan for your team

PRE-REQUISITES:       Completion of the Level One - Self Description Instrument
      Introduction to Project Management

          A Time of Transition
          The Dynamics of Change
          The Stragic Growth Process
          Defining the Customer Functions and Groups
          Project Team Roles

Afternoon:

          Objective Setting Exercise
          Scoring of the Level One - Description of Self
          Style Analysis and Interpretation
          Explanation of Level One - Dr. Clayton Lafferty Video Tape



DAY TWO

Morning:

          Stages of Team Development
          Assessing Your Project Team's Performance
          Individual Leadership / Power Profiles
          Rating Team Effectiveness

Afternoon:

          Comparatie Profiles - Video Tape
          Action Planning for Team Effectiveness - "The 90-day Plan"
          Monitoring Process
