PROJECT APPROVAL PROCESS


COURSE DESCRIPTION:     This half-day training program is designed for Vice-Presidents and Directors requesting project funding for projects with a substantial IT component involving corporate resources.

The Approval Process is a systematic process designed to take an original idea from conception to approval.   The Approval Process System includes a series of user-friendly tools, templates and help files to guide users through the process of analyzing, developing and packaging their project ideas for approval by the Executive Steering Committee.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:        As a result of this learning opportunity participants will:

           Understand the systematic process designed to advance an original idea
           from conception to approval
           Review the approval process standards in the appropriate phases
           Increase their awareness around the role of the project sponsor and relationship
           with the project director/manager during the approval process
           Receive an introduction to the approval process, tools, i.e. MS Work/Excel Templates and help files
           Review the approval process documentation for submission to the Executive Steering Committee
