PROJECT PRESENTATION SKILLS


COURSE DESCRIPTION:    This Presentation Skills program is a two-day intensive skill-building workshop designed to strengthen Project Managers' and Project Leaders' ability to articulate themselves in a persuasive manner to receive Sponsor and Steering Committee approval.   Organizing ideas, presenting Status Reports and handling difficult questions is an integral part of this program



LEARNING OUTCOMES:    As a result of this learning opportunity participants will:

           Identify the Steps to Successfully Presenting Project Proposals
           Recognize and capitalize on oral presentation strengths by assessing their performance
           on closed circuit television, in addition to receiving instructor and peer evaluations
           Examine the techniques for differentiating between the informative, persuasive
           and impromptu presentation
           Feel more confident in reporting Project Status to Sponsors and the Steering Committee
           and thinking fast, thinking first

DAY ONE

Morning:
   Participant Introductions - Video-taped
   Seven Steps to Successfully Presenting Projects
   Adult Learning Principles
   Motivating Your Audience to Listen
   Critique of Participant Introductions

Afternoon:
   The Status Report Can Be Interesting and Insightful !
   Body Language That States Confidence and Control
   Delivering Your Presentation Materials with Illustrations That Move Your Audience
   Status Report Presentations - Video-taped Session
   Peer and Instructor Feedback

Evening Assignment:
   "The Five-minute Persuasive Presentation"


DAY TWO

Morning:
   The Persuasive Presentation
   The "FAB" Formula
   Persuasive Approaches
   1) Analytical
   2) MBOR
   3) Consequence
   4) Emotional
 
   Persuasive Presentations - Video-taped Session

Afternoon:
   Sponsor Style Analysis
   Dress for Success Techniques
   Impromptu Presentation Basics
   Personal Action Plan
   Career Building Model
